Why is dental care on Medicare?

I'd like to know why dental isn't on Medicare.

Medical treatment for every other part of a person's entire digestive system is covered. But not teeth - the things that are essential to kicking off that whole life-sustaining eating thing.

Surely dental care is the epitome of preventative medicine?

What's that about?

  1. AGREED - actually it is on medicare if you have a health care plan - i.e. have a chronic form of illness already. Thank God - I actually got some dental work done on Medicare.
