World's largest timber structure - just because?

Those Spaniards love their big stunning architecture...

According to Inhabitat, they were set to build a big carpark on this site in Seville, but found archeological remnants, so they built a museum instead. With a whopping great timber lattice 'parasol' over the top. Just because...


Not sure that it sits so well in the ancient city layout:


But then, is there anywhere other than an empty field that such a stunning structure would sit well?
