Duck! Asteroid 2005 YU55 is about to zip by us. And it's as big as an aircraft carrier.

That aircraft-carrier-sized asteroid "2005 YU55" will be zipping past Earth soon, well inside the orbit of the moon, but not close enough to warrant panic. Or a new movie.

Slooh will be covering it, tapping into high quality telescopes from around the world - well from the night side anyway - to watch it.

The coverage starts at 8:00am Australian Daylight Saving Time. People in other places can go figure out when that is - we always have to figure out your times...
