Learning online, exam-free, fee-free and just for fun. Now that's my kind of studying!

We are being told that we need to "use it or lose it" when it comes to keeping our brains active and as a defence against dementia.

These days, it is possible to "feed your brain" with endless sources of information on an amazing array of topics. Podcasts, YouTube videos and more. Listen on the bicycle, watch on the bus, or really focus in front of a tablet or traditional computer.

You can download video podcasts of entire university semester course lectures.

You can watch a whole series of guest lectures on astrobiology on YouTube:

You can watch any of 2700 educational videos through the amazing Khan Academy, on almost anything from art to algebra, banking to biology, cosmology to computer science, history to healthcare, maths to medicine. Check out the list - you'll be stunned.

100% free of fees, assignments and exams! Now that's my kind of studying!

And yes - this is my way of bookmarking some brain food I want to come back to myself!
