Some beautiful words and advice from people working on Mars Curiosity

Sometimes on Twitter the are moments of profound wisdom and insight that warrant more than to be merely available for two weeks then gone. After the landing of Mars Curiosity, I started getting to know some new people. And from two of them came the following gems that I just had to lock in for the future. For your consideration:

Pursue your interests and dreams. Look for ways to retain your sense of wonder, curiosity, and zeal to learn about the Universe.

Find dark skies and marvel at the milky way; you can almost feel the Earth turning beneath you.

Really look at an airplane – beauty, engineering, and wonder manifest!Think about the moon’s phase tonight – does it make sense for where/when the sun sets or will rise?

When studying maths and science, don’t go by rote. Make sure you understand the fundamentals. If not, ask questions!

Seek friends of good character who share your interests and appreciate your inner geek. Live life with integrity and yearning for the truth.

That there is currently no plan for NASA to go to the surface of any, moon, asteroid, or planet seems wrong to me.

We shrink and wither as a people without the spark of curiosity expressed through exploration. This nation is fueled by a drive to explore.

Do not shrink America, you are as strong as your dreams. Fuel those dreams with the wonder of exploration.
