Need some ROAR? Soyuz to launch to ISS tonight with a crew of three.

At 9:51pm Canberra daylight saving time tonight, a Soyuz rocket booster will launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. This flight has been delayed from 26 September and 15 October.

It will carry to the International Space Station Oleg Novitskiy, a Russian Air Force colonel making his first spaceflight, Evgeni Tarelkin, a Russian Air Force captain also on his first spaceflight, and NASA's Kevin Ford, a retired US Air Force colonel and former pilot of space shuttle Discovery in 2009.

They will join the current ISS residents, Commander Suni Williams, Russian Yuri Malenchenko and Japan's Aki Hoshide. Williams and Hoside featured in last month's vital spacewalk that restored redundant power supplies for the ISS—with help from a toothbrush.

Ford will become commander of the ISS for Expedition 34 next month, after Williams returns to Earth on 19 November.
