Amazed that my blog has flown through 12,000 views

I continue to be amazed at the audience this little blog of mine is reaching. What is really little more than an unconventional way of storing interesting bookmarks for my own referral is now getting some 1000 hits per week, many from Australia but just as many from all over the world.

As the 12,000 mark comes up, so has 4000 been passed over the last month. One day alone saw 772 hits - I have the return to Earth of Russia's doomed Phobos Grunt spacecraft to thank for that extraordinary day.

A story about stargazing with my son early on Christmas morning, which was highlighted by the Google Blogger team no less, remains popular. So does this article on podcars and this on bio-luminescent algae. My idea for what comes after the Aboriginal Tent Embassy has had some interest, with a booster shot after the Australian Federal police's less than tactful handling of the Prime Minister.

And of course there were those wonderful auroras...

Well folks, thank you. There's a stack more I'm keen to post on - it's just a matter of finding the time for it all. Because as reader and Science On Top podcaster Ed Brown said: there's a whole lot of awesome out there, and I want to blog about all of it. As much as possible anyway!
