Those annoying Facebook games you always ignore? This one from NASA is a little better

NASA's been copping it a bit lately: "Hasn't NASA shut down?" How common that question is when I talk space stuff with friends...

"No - just the shuttles," I keep saying. "But they have had astronauts on the International Space Station continuously for years. And they have more robotic explorer missions now under way than ever before. In fact this is a 'golden age' for NASA."

Perhaps stung by the bad PR, NASA is really embracing social media. The Tweetups are great, on Twitter anyone can befriend real-live rocket scientists and mission managers like Cassini's @CarolynPorco.
