Barack Obama - a funny dude (video)

If you've heard the quote from the White House Correspondents' Dinner where Obama exclaimed that Hillary Clinton "won't stop drunk texting me", this is the speech where it came from.

It's well worth watching through - some pretty good wise cracks at his own expense, and plenty that seemed marginal (read: high risk), so he wasn't playing it safe.

A number of jokes played on recent reports that he ate dog meat when he was a kid in Indonesia (in case you are wondering), and there is an absolute pearler right at the end that almost had me choke my drink all over the screen...




On the heels of his "slow jam the news" appearance, it really does seem that the more the Republican candidates have shown themselves to be hopeless fools chasing populist votes (sound familiar?), the more Obama has become comfortable and confident - true leadership material.

What a contrast to the Australian situation...
