Models without the Photoshop treatment (and makeup and photography)

We hear a lot of commentary about how unrealistic it is to think that ordinary people can look like the magazine models do, and that they have all been 'shopped.

These pictures from Mamamia put a pretty bold underline under that though. You may be shocked at just how different the women look unadorned versus magazine-ready.

It makes you realise just how serious the issue is. Some are barely recognisable as the same person...

For instance, Adriana Lima looks like the girl on the Narnia movies on the left, but like Megan Fox straight off Transformers on the right.
