Radio Lab produce some of my favourite podcasts - all playing around with sound and effects to augment the listening. To use their own description: "sound is like touch - at a distance".
In this episode they examine how some stupid US tax laws charge almost twice as much tax for dolls that represent humans as for toys that look like anything else.
Marvel the comic book mob saw this and went into overdrive trying to prove that their superhero dolls - currently being changed at the human-representing high rate - actually represent non-humans, and therefore should be taxed at the lower rate. The fun continues through a 10-year court battle.
Podcast runs for about 18 minutes. Enjoy.
