Did you know there was a 6.1 magnitude earthquake in Australia last night?

I bet this one slipped beneath the radar for most Australians - one of the strongest earthquakes in Australia in decades hit last night.

It helps that it was in central Australia, in the South Australia far north - very close to Uluru.

We don't get many earthquakes in Australia, and there's been nothing serious since Newcastle. But they do happen. It's surprising that this one didn't arouse more comment.

Thankfully no damage or harm caused for the remote Aboriginal community near the epicentre.
